How to Create Local Disk In Your Computer. Partition Hard Drive 2017/2018

➥What is a Hard Disk Drive?

The hard disk drive is the main, and usually largest, data storage Hardware device in a computer. The operating system, software titles, and most other files are stored in the hard disk drive.

The hard drive is sometimes referred to as the "C drive" due to the fact that Microsoft Windows designates the "C" drive letter to the primary Partition on the primary hard drive in a computer by default.

What is Disk Partition?

Disk partitioning or disk slicing is the creation of one or more regions on a hard disk or other secondary storage, so that an operating system can manage information in each region separately. ... Each partition then appears in the operating system as a distinct "logical" disk that uses part of the actual disk.

How to create more Disk?

Follow the steps to to complete the process.

Step 1: Right click in the my computer icon then select Manage.

Step 2: Then small box appears with many vertical options. Click on Storage and then Disk Management.

Step 3: After then you can see All the disk in your computer. 

Now select which disk volume you want to shrink. Select it and Right click on the selected disk. Then select Shrink Volume. a shall box will appears. Now here is the main point. Go to third options "Enter The Amount Of Space To Shrink In MB. Enter space in MB. For Example if you want to create 20 GB Hard Disk Than enter 20,000MB, or if you want to create 100GB disk than enter 100,000MB. After entering your required space amount, click shrink button for next step.

Step 3: Then there will appear your disk name as Unallocated  in black color.

Take your mouse crosser over that unallcated disk and right click on it and select "New Simple Volume" then press enter. After that a small box open and press next.

Step 4: After pressing next another page will open and you will see

"small volume size in MB". Then press Again Next Button. Then select which disk you want to create( for eg;- D,E,F, A etc). Before press next make sure that you should check in Assign the following drive. 

Step 5: After click in next button you will see "Volume Label" where you can enter the name of your disk as your wish. After giving the name of a disk then press next button and click finish button if all the enter data are right.

That's all. After doing this you will be redirect toward your new disk that you created. 

Now all you have to do is Restart your computer to make it effective.

After restarting your computer, now you r disk is ready to use.
